Terms & Conditions
Last updated: June 2026 · Governing law: United Kingdom (Scotland) · Website Services
1. Who We Are
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to the website design, hosting and maintenance services ("Website Services") provided by HAA SYNERGY LIMITED (Company Registration No. SC886749, registered in Scotland at Office 400, 18 Young St, UNIT LGE, Edinburgh, EH2 4JB, United Kingdom), together with its affiliate How AI Assist Limited (Hong Kong) — collectively "How AI Assist", "HAA", "we", "us" or "our".
By engaging our Website Services, requesting a quote, or submitting the inquiry form, you ("the Client", "you") agree to these Terms.
2. Our Services
We offer two standard plans and optional add-ons, as published on the Website Services page:
- Basic Plan: Up to 5 responsive pages, local SEO, Google Business Profile setup, custom domain (.com or .co.uk) and SSL, web hosting, and email technical support.
- Elite Plan: Up to 10 pages with advanced schema & SEO, plus all Basic Plan features.
- Add-ons & Care Retainers: Quoted separately based on your requirements.
All quoted prices exclude VAT. Delivery is typically completed in less than 7 days from receipt of all required content and access.
3. Fees, Renewals & Domains
- First-year pricing is stated on the Website Services page. Monthly fees apply from month 13, or a discounted yearly renewal may be paid in advance.
- New domains are included only for .com or .co.uk extensions. Any other domain extension will be quoted separately.
- Transfer of your existing domain is included in both plans, subject to your current registrar's transfer process and your authority to transfer.
- Invoices are payable in GBP (£). VAT is charged at the prevailing UK rate where applicable.
4. Hosting, Support & Availability
Web hosting is provided for the live website on our managed infrastructure. We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service; scheduled maintenance and third-party outages may occur. Email technical support is provided during business hours for issues relating to the delivered website.
5. Your Responsibilities
- Provide accurate business information, branding assets, and content in a timely manner.
- Ensure you have the rights to any content, images, or logos you supply to us.
- Pay all invoices when due, including renewal fees to keep the domain and hosting active.
- Comply with applicable UK law, including the UK GDPR, DPA 2018, and consumer protection regulations, in respect of the content published on your website.
6. Data Protection (UK GDPR)
We act as a Data Processor for personal data processed through your website and as a Data Controller for the data you share with us to deliver the service. Processing is carried out in accordance with the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. See our Privacy Policy for details.
7. Intellectual Property
On full payment of all fees due, the final website design is assigned to you for your use. We retain the right to display the work in our portfolio unless agreed otherwise in writing. Third-party libraries, fonts, and stock imagery remain subject to their respective licences.
8. Cancellation & Refunds
You may cancel monthly or yearly renewals at any time with at least 30 days' notice before the next renewal date. Fees for work already delivered (design, setup, domain registration, hosting) are non-refundable. Refunds for pre-paid yearly hosting are available on a pro-rata basis for full unused months, less any non-recoverable domain or third-party costs.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, our liability for any claim arising from the Website Services is limited to the fees paid by you in the three months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of data.
10. Governing Law & Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Scotland / the United Kingdom. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Scotland, except where UK consumer law entitles you to bring proceedings in your local jurisdiction.
If you are a UK consumer, you may refer unresolved complaints to the Citizens Advice Consumer Service or, for online disputes, to the UK European Online Dispute Resolution platform.
